Born and raised in northern California, Alvin began his musical journey at the age of 8 when he picked up a saxophone for the first time. Over 20 years later, he has performed with various bands at some of the bay area’s notable music venues such as The Great American Music Hall in San Francisco, The Catalyst in Santa Cruz, and the legendary jazz venue in Oakland, Yoshi’s. Now residing in Las Vegas, he can be seen performing at SoHo Japanese Restaurant a couple times a month.

While Alvin started out playing more pop and R&B, he eventually found himself diving into the reggae scene in 2011 and has since shared the stage with renowned acts such as Rebelution, Tenelle, Jordan T, and island reggae legend Fiji. He started his solo career playing at family parties and weddings and eventually branched out to hotels and restaurants. His set includes cover songs from many genres of music such as pop, R&B, reggae, rock, and country with a unique perspective all his own.

In the studio, Alvin has recorded saxophone solos and horn arrangements for a number of artists in addition to working on his own catalog of solo saxophone songs. Currently, Alvin just released his second single entitled “I Will Be Here” while continuing to collaborate with other artists.

Whether part of a band or as a solo act, Alvin appeals to any crowd with his diverse repertoire, making the perfect complement to all types of occasions including weddings, corporate parties, and more.
